The annual JROTC military ball educates cadets on how to present and conduct themselves at formal event. It also serves for cadets, guests, and students to enjoy a night out and bring everyone together as a family.
December 1, 2019 - The cadets in JROTC had a night of formal dining and excitement to share among themselves at the Annual Military Ball. This year, the 57th Annual Military Ball was coordinated by the military ball committee comprised of members from all companies in the battalion.
This year’s theme was “Egyptian” which was seen in the handmade centerpieces and ballroom decorations. SSG Varela provided delicious food for the function as a friendly donation. Of course, color guard teams and escorts were well prepared for their performance in the evening. The formal part of the night concluded with the traditional “crowning of the queen” ceremony and the Queen’s dance with the court; What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. This year’s queen was C/CPT Carmen Salas.
Once the formal part of the event ended, cadets unwinded and busted out their moves on the dance floor. Song after song, cadets enjoyed moving to the rhythm as the night came to a successful closing with senior slideshows.
